Shin-Etsu Polymer Co., Ltd. revises the price of semiconductor wafer shipping boxes

Increase of the price starts with purchase orders from July 1st, 2021 onwards

 

 

Shin-Etsu Polymer Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshiaki Ono. Hereinafter) announces that we, Shin-Etsu Polymer Co., Ltd., will increase the price of semiconductor wafer shipping boxes as follows.  We will start negotiations regarding such increase of the price with the main customer hereafter.

 

By influence of the rapid rise in raw materials and transportation costs, we have continued our efforts to reduce costs, but we are in a situation it very difficult to absorb them.
In addition, recently rapid changes in the semiconductor market conditions are forcing us to further strengthen the production and sales structure of semiconductor wafer shipping boxes.  Thus, we will increase the price of semiconductor wafer shipping boxes, taking into consideration the following situation.

 

1.    Stable procurement of raw materials, sub-materials, etc. of semiconductor wafer shipping boxes. 
2.    Expansion of stable supply system to increase Si wafer production
3.    Expansion and enforcement of the BCP system to prepare for disasters, disputes, etc.
