What is the origin of the corporate name "Shin-Etsu Polymer"?
"Shin-Etsu" indicates that we are one of the group corporate of Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., and the place of its origin.
"Polymer" derives from a polymer compound consisting of thousands or ten thousands of monomers linked together, since the corporate was founded as a manufacturer of resin-finished products (We started our business with processing polyvinyl chloride resin manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical.). But, it does not indicate any product name. Polyvinyl chloride resin is one of polymers. Today, we are conducting a wide range of businesses from the electric and electronics products to construction materials as a manufacturer using and fabricating a variety of polymers. -
Does your corporate logo have any special meaning?
Our logo consists of two trademarks: a symbol mark and a light mark. Light or Memorable Grow is a symbol of bright future and human dreams as well as it mean the potential of Shin-Etsu for dynamic growth in a global scale. Every Shin-Etsu group companies use this logo.

We are a manufacturer of resin-finished products featuring our unique compounding and fabrication processes of various products such as conductive silicone rubber and polyvinyl chloride products. We are manufacturing and selling a wide range of products including keypads for cellular phones and PCs, mechanical parts such as inter-connectors, automotive electrical components, office-automation equipment parts, semiconductor wafer shipping box, packaging materials such as wrap films, and construction materials such as corrugated sheets.
